Description

HOLD STRONG Fitness GmbH is a project that originated in 2015 in Dortmund, Germany, with the ethos "To deliver the most functional and versatile equipment that doesn't yet exist, one must simply create it." The company first started with the production of high end pull up bars, and has recently taken the next step into the functional fitness market. Functional Rigs have evolved in every size, shape and colour imaginable to HOLD STRONG's unsurpassable level of precision manufacturing and quality. HOLD STRONG is forward-looking with a holistic approach to training that has given rise to one of the most exciting and inventive ranges of equipment in the industry. Perfect for both home and commercial fitness studios, HOLD STRONG’s racks, weightsplates, intelligent solutions and fun, innovative, ever-expanding range of functional accessories offer the complete fitness package, with durability and affordability guaranteed.

The HOLD STRONG Elite Competition Kettlebells, made of steel, are the perfect training tool for high-intensity explosive power training. The kettlebells are the same size in all weight levels, and colour coded according to weight. High-quality, robust workmanship, and a special finish make them a superb buy. Elite Competition Kettlebells allows for a challenging, full-body workout that not only promotes strength and endurance, but also improves coordination. Starting at 8kg, these kettlebells are ideal for beginners, and the higher weight range, up to 31kg, is perfect for the more professional athlete. Kettlebells enable fast and sustainable results in full-body training.

When choosing your weights you should first consider your general state of fitness. A beginner should not start with the heaviest models, and even trained athletes do not necessarily have to use in the higher weight classes. The rule of thumb is that you can increase the maximum force with heavy kettlebells, because the movement execution is explosive. Lighter ball dumbbells, on the other hand, are more suitable for improving strength endurance or cardio training, as the lighter kettlebells naturally create more repetitions. Overall, almost all exercises with the kettlebell are designed not to train individual muscle groups in isolation. Rather, the very complex movement sequences are designed to train coordination and mobility. That is why, and in the sense of the lowest possible risk of injury, correct execution of the exercise is also so important.

The ball dumbbell, with contrasting handle, ensures that, unlike conventional dumbbells, the centre of gravity is outside the hand in which it is held. Therefore, in almost every exercise, the muscles must cooperate, which stabilises the trunk. Not only do you trainn hand and arms, you also work back extensors, abdominal muscles and other muscle groups. For this reason, kettlebells are considered ideal for core training and offer a variety of ways to improve the core stability of the body. The versatility is immense. Depending on which exercise is performed, you primarily train your arms, legs, shoulders, and even the buttocks muscles, but never neglect the core muscles.

What does a classic kettlebell workout look like?

Of course, it depends on which training goal you pursue. With the Elite Competition Kettlebell you can train for special ball dumbbell competitions as well as for the improvement of strength and endurance or for a circulatory programme. Weight reduction and general muscle building are also possible, but targeted muscle building training of individual muscle groups should be tackled with other dumbbells. Just 20 minutes are enough as part of a focused workout to lose up to five kilograms of weight in four weeks, if you train at least three times a week. There are many suitable exercises, but they should always be learned at the beginning under expert guidance. You can combine them as you like and adjust the training focus as needed.

What are the differences between Fitness and Competition Kettelbell?

As already mentioned, the Elite Competition Kettlebell is suitable for targeted competition training, but it is often not clear how competition and fitness kettlebells differ. The often cheaper fitness models are not suitable for competition and are usually manufactured differently from the competition models specially tailored to the specifications of kettlebell sports. A fitness kettlebell is usually cast from iron. The circumference of the ball body depends on the weight, as well as the thickness of the handle. Competition ball dumbbells such as the Elite Competition Kettlebell, on the other hand, are always made of steel and meet strict standards for competition use.

The size of the Competition Kettlebells does not change with higher weight. The handle is usually a little thinner than the fitness model and is located closer to the ball body of the dumbbell. This allows for better comparability in competition, where it is important to perform certain exercises on time, with the athlete with the most repetitions winning. If you want to participate in such competitions, you should train with Elite Competition Kettlebells right from the start.
