Transforming a Former Retail Space into Oswestry’s Ultimate Super Gym The EVO Project
We’re incredibly proud to have been involved in this project from the very beginning — right back to the initial site visit when the building was still a vacant former Wilkinson store. At that stage, it was simply an empty shell. But with the right vision, planning, and execution, we knew it had the potential to become something truly special for the Oswestry fitness community.
Every standout facility starts with a clear vision — and this one was no different. We began by developing a detailed 2D layout, carefully mapping out how to maximise every square metre of the space. Flow, functionality, and user experience were at the heart of every decision.
From there, we elevated the concept through high-quality 3D renders and walkthrough videos, giving a fully immersive preview of what the finished gym would look and feel like. This stage allowed us to refine every detail — from equipment positioning to training zones — before a single piece of kit was installed. What followed was a full transformation. Watching the space evolve from a disused retail unit into a high-performance training facility has been nothing short of incredible.
This wasn’t a partial install — this was a complete, top-to-bottom gym fit-out, where we supplied and delivered virtually every element within the facility.
We carefully selected a combination of premium, commercial-grade equipment to ensure the gym caters to all styles of training — from strength and bodybuilding to functional fitness and conditioning.
Strength & Plate-Loaded Equipment
The gym features an extensive range of Skelcore equipment, forming the backbone of the strength offering:

- Skelcore Pro Plus Series Linear Back Row
- Skelcore 5-Piece Flex Range Plate Loaded machines

We built out a fully equipped free weights and functional zone, ensuring versatility for all users:
- Urethane Olympic Plates
- Custom ROCKIT Urethane Dumbbells
- Full dumbbell and kettlebell ranges, including competition kettlebells
- Competition plates and bumper plates
- Wall balls, slam balls, and medicine balls
- Sleds, ropes, and conditioning equipment
To support high-performance training, we also installed:
- Concept SkiErgs, BikeErgs, and RowErgs
- Skelcore adjustable benches
This area was designed to handle everything from general fitness to elite-level strength and conditioning sessions.

Finishing Touches That Elevate the Facility
Beyond equipment, we focused heavily on the overall environment and finish of the gym.
- 600 X-Connect light grey tiles were installed across the facility, providing a durable, high-performance flooring solution while enhancing the overall aesthetic.
- A custom EVO project track was integrated, adding a unique and professional training feature that sets the gym apart from standard facilities.
Every detail was considered to create a space that not only performs but also looks and feels premium.
